What went into determining what your school’s budget is this year? Who keeps track of spending, and federal and state grants? What are GAAP and GASB and why are they important? This workshop is designed for school business officials and aspiring leaders who recognize the importance of understanding budgeting and financial planning, accounting, auditing and financial reporting, cash and debt management, and financial software. Attendees will leave with a working knowledge of the rules, principals, and procedures for financial management of local education agencies, and be better prepared to understand the critical role of responsible and effective fiscal leadership.
