This session addresses the challenges of teaching reading comprehension and building a caring community in grades K-8. Participants will experience and examine lessons that incorporate fiction and expository texts to promote students' ability to comprehend text while exposing them to the joys of reading and leave with strategies they can implement the next day in their classrooms.
